How WinXP changes IE favorites location through the registry

The default location of the IE favorites is under the C drive. Every time we reinstall the WinXP system, we will always forget to remove the IE favorites from the C drive, resulting in the loss of the entire collection. Of course, if you are using a third-party browser, then the location of the favorites is in the program installation path, so don't worry, in this tutorial we will focus on how to change the location of the IE favorites through the registry.
Operation:
1, create a new folder on the other partitions of the non-system partition, named "Favorites", copy the folders and shortcuts under C:\\DocumentsanrlSettings\\Administrator\\Favorites to Under the folder.

2. Click the “Start Menu One Run” command to enter “<regedit” and click the “OK” button to open the registry. Expand [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Winrlows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\UsershellFolders], and then click on the "Favorites" button in the right window. Right-click on the button and select "Edit" as shown.

3. After the modification is completed, click the “OK” button to close the registry editor, close all IE browser windows and restart the xp system to use the IE favorites in the new location.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Winrlows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\UsershellFolders] In addition to the ability to modify the favorites under the primary key, you can also modify the key values such as “My Documents”. In addition to modifying the location of the target folder by right-clicking "My Documents" and selecting "Property" to modify the location of the "My Documents" location, you can modify the Personal key and other key values under the primary key.
Because the registry has not been saved after the modification, we should restart the computer after the modification is completed. After entering the WinXP system, you can try to add this tutorial to your favorites, and look at the IE favorites. Location, you can see that it has been moved to another path.
