How to completely clean up jp files in xp system

After the system is used for a long time, it will precipitate a lot of garbage, unnecessary files, not only occupy the memory of the system, but also affect the running speed of the computer. Now let Xiaobian teach you how to completely clean up the XP system and clean up redundant files in the system.
1. Delete unnecessary files in the system
(1) Delete system files backup
In the system file, the system32\\dllcache” directory has nearly 250MB files, they are WindowsXP system files. Backup. When the Windows XP system files are replaced, deleted or modified, Windows XP can automatically extract the corresponding system file restores to ensure the stability of the system. This folder cannot be deleted directly, but you can clear it by typing the Sfc.exe /purgecache command at the command prompt.
(2) Delete the driver backup
Delete the Driver.cab file in the directory of the "driver cache\\i386" in the Windows XP system directory. This file saves the backup of the hardware driver and is generally not needed. Even if you need to install new hardware, you can insert the Windows XP installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.
(3)Delete useless input method
Save the input method related files in the “Windows\\ime\\” folder, where the traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean input methods are not available to most of us. Use, we can delete “chtime”,“imjp8_1”,“imkr6_1” three directories, which are traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean input method, so we can save 80MB hard disk space.
(4) Deleting help files
The help of the initial system of Windows XP is very useful, but as you become more familiar with the system, the help files are more and more redundant. Remove it. XP help files are stored in the Help folder under the system installation directory, you can delete all the files and directories under it.
2. Reduce the hard disk space occupied by the system
(1) Turn off the system restore
System Restore can return the computer to an earlier time (called the restore point) without losing our recent work, but After a long time, it takes up a lot of hard disk space. Therefore, it is necessary to manually set it to reduce the amount of hard disk usage.
Open the "System Properties" dialog box, select the "System Restore" tab in the dialog box, and select the "Close System Restore on all drives" checkbox to turn off System Restore. If you do not turn off System Restore, you can set up a restore only for the disk or partition on which the system resides. First select the partition where the system is located, click the “Configure” button, in the pop-up dialog box, cancel the “System Restore” option for this drive and set the amount of disk space for system restore.
(2) Turn off hibernation support
Hibernate function will take up a lot of hard disk space. If you use less, you can turn it off. The method of closing is: Open “Control Panel”, double-click “Power Options” ”, in the pop-up "Power Options Properties" dialog box, select the "Hibernate" tab and uncheck the "Enable Hibernate" checkbox.
(3) Reduce or disable virtual memory
When the physical memory of the system is relatively large, you can consider reducing the value of virtual memory or even canceling virtual memory. When you have 512MB of physical memory, you can set virtual memory as physical memory. Half of it, 256MB, can cancel virtual memory if it has 1GB of physical memory.
The method of setting virtual memory is as follows: "Set the page virtual memory reasonably."
3. Clear temporary files
(1) Clear system temporary files
Temporary files of the system are generally stored in two locations: a Temp folder in a Windows installation directory; the other is X:\\Documents And Settings\\“username”\\Local Settings\\Temp folder (X: is the partition where the system is located). Files in both locations can be deleted directly.
(2) Clearing Temporary Internet Files
The time spent on the Internet will generate a large number of temporary Internet files. Regular deletion will save a lot of hard disk space.
Open IE browser and select “Internet Options” from the “Tools” menu. In the pop-up dialog box, select the “General” tab, in the “Temporary Internet Files” column. Click the "Delete Files" button and in the pop-up "Delete Files" dialog box, select the "Delete all offline content" checkbox and click the "OK" button.
You can also set the disk occupied by the temporary Internet files to an acceptable range, click the “Settings" button in the "Internet Temporary Files" column, and then in the “Settings" dialog box ( As shown in the figure, the disk space occupied by the temporary file is set, and the folder of the temporary Internet file can also be moved to another partition to reduce the occupation of the system partition disk.
4. File compression in NTFS partitions
Windows XP provides file compression properties for NTFS partition files, which can effectively save disk space.
In the NTFS partition, select the file or folder to be compressed, right-click, select the “property" command in the shortcut menu, and then click the "General" option in the “Properties" Click the “Advanced” button in the card and check the “Compress content to save disk space” checkbox in the “Compress or Encrypt Properties” column of the new dialog box. After "OK" You will find that the disk space used by the files is greatly reduced.
5. Clear Windows XP shared folder
& ldquo; shared folder & rdquo;, this folder is useful when we use the work group, you can directly put the files to be shared to this share without any settings It's fine in the folder, but in practice, many people don't need this feature. We can disable this feature by modifying the registry to save disk space.
Open the Registry Editor and find: subkeys {59031a47-3f72-44a7-89c5-5595fe6b30ee}” under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion \\Explorer\\My Computer\\NameSpace\\DelegateFolders This key value can be deleted. It is best to make a backup before deleting, or write down this value so that you can restore it instantly when needed.
Through the above five aspects of processing, I believe that everyone's xp system garbage has been cleaned up almost. Clean up the system's junk files, and release the memory to speed up the computer.
