A good way to replace the motherboard with the computer does not have to reinstall the system

. One of the reasons many people don't want to replace the motherboard is that changing the motherboard means reinstalling the system. If you don't have too many applications in your computer, reinstalling Windows XP takes about half. About an hour, that would be acceptable. But if you have installed a lot of applications, reinstalling Windows XP is very annoying. In addition to the basic operating system to be installed, there are a variety of upgrade files and patch files, drivers, etc., it is really troublesome. Actually, today, Xiaobian introduces a good method for everyone. As long as you follow the method described in this article, you can also ensure that you can still operate normally after replacing the motherboard and other hardware, without having to reinstall Windows XP system.
Operation steps:
1, before starting, it is best to use Ghost to make a mirror backup of the hard disk partition where Windows XP is located, in case of error, it can also be restored to the previous normal state.
2, open the chassis, remove all PCI cards except the display card.
3. In Windows, "Start" >-->“Settings -->“Control Panel -->“Add/Remove Programs> The program is completely removed, including the IAA acceleration program for the Intel chipset and the IDE Tool for the VIA chipset.
4, then, in the "control panel", uninstall the motherboard chipset driver, but do not restart the computer. The specific method is:
(1) Go to “Control Panel>-->“System”-->“Hardware>-->“Device Manager">Click “ IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers” project, the first sub-item below it is the motherboard chipset.
(2) Double-click the motherboard chipset name, and click the “Update Driver” button in the "Properties" window" Driver” page that appears.
(3) After entering the “Hardware Update Wizard” dialog box, select “Install from the list or specified location”, click “Next” button.
(4) Then, select “ Don't search, I have to choose the driver I want to install myself. Click the "Next" button.
(5) In the “Show compatible devices” window, select “Standard dual-channel PCI IDE controller” and follow the instructions to complete the installation.
5, shut down, but do not restart. Then install the hard drive to the new motherboard, plug in the display card and turn it on. If there is no accident, you should be able to start normally and enter Windows XP. After entering the system, install the driver for the new motherboard chipset.
Under normal circumstances, when we change the hardware such as the new motherboard, RAID card or IDE card (that is, the system hardware has undergone major changes), when you enter Windows 2000/XP again, you usually need to reinstall Windows system and Part of the application software, but if you learn this tutorial, you will find that you don't need it, what a magical event happened.
