Tips for Quickly Accessing Windows 98 Desktops

In the process of using Windows 98, if you open a lot of applications, so that the full screen is a window, then you want to enter the desktop to do something, such as running a certain Shortcuts, etc. So, do you need to close or minimize all windows one by one? In fact, there are a few simpler methods here:

1. The easiest way is of course to use the IE4.0“Quick Start">;Show Desktop” button in the toolbar. No matter how many applications the system is running, if you want to access the desktop, just use the mouse to gently click on this button, the system will automatically minimize each application, and a clean, refreshing desktop in your In front of the eyes. If you want to return to the previously running application, you can click the <;display desktop" button again, and all running applications will automatically revert to the original window or maximize the state.

2, the method is also very simple, and "Compatible" Windows 95: Right click on the blank space on the taskbar, and then select “ minimize all windows in the shortcut menu that pops up ;, how, the effect is not the same as the "Show desktop" button? If you want to revert back to the original state, right-click again and select “Undo all minimized”.

(Small note: You can use both of these operations at the same time. For example, we can use the second method to minimize all windows, and then undo the minimize operation by clicking the “display desktop” button. But there are differences between the two. For example, we opened the "System Properties" dialog box and ran other applications. Using the first method, all windows can be minimized, but the second method can only be minimized. Application, but can not minimize the dialog window.)

3, the method is a bit cumbersome, and its display desktop is not enough "complete". Click the “Run...” command in the “Start” menu, type “.”, and the desktop will appear as a window after you press Enter. However, only the contents of the C:WindowsDesktop folder are displayed at this time, which does not include the more commonly used icons on the desktop such as “My Computer” and “Recycle Bin”. However, since we have already had the first two good methods, why should we ask for it? The reason why I waste my ink here is to list it, just to illustrate: there is indeed such a method!
