Windows XP system broadband application skills

Nowadays, there are more and more friends using high-speed Internet access such as ADSL and LAN. For example, the broadband broadband Internet access provided by the city where the author is located is not limited (but the traffic is limited to 512KB). It’s really a pleasure. If you have upgraded to the Windows XP operating environment, then these broadband usage tips can not be seen:
1. View broadband connection status
just open from the "Start /Control Panel" under the dial-up network ” window, as shown in Figure 1, you can see that an available connection has been established under "LAN or high-speed Internet connection", the default name of this available connection is "local connection", in order to use Conveniently, I have renamed it to “Broadband Connection”. Double-click the icon or execute the “Status” command from the shortcut menu to see a window like the one shown in Figure 2. From here you can see the status of this connection (whether it is connected), duration (connected Many useful parameters such as time) and speed.
2. Disconnect broadband connection
I use LAN LAN mode to access the Internet, I don't need a dial-up connection every time, I can access the Internet when I turn it on. It is very convenient. Some friends who want to temporarily disconnect the broadband connection, but can't find the "Disconnect" command from the shortcut menu, do you want to unplug the network cable?
Of course not, we can right click on “local connection", execute the “deactivate” command in the shortcut menu so that you can disconnect. When you want to connect again later, just execute the "Enable" command. However, after testing, I found that when the broadband connection is disabled, the connection is easy to fail when it is enabled again. At this time, the “fix” command can be executed.
