Tips for deleting shared folders

Open the Windows Neighborhood window and you can see the list of shared folders we have visited. But what is puzzling is that the shared folder has been deleted on other computers, but it can still be seen in the online neighbor window. How can I delete these invalid garbage shared folders?

In fact, the shared folder history we have visited is stored in the registry, as long as we modify the registry slightly to solve this problem. Open the "Run" window, enter "regedit" and press Enter. On the left side of the Registry Editor, select "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Network\\LanMan". On the right side, we can see all the accesses. After the list of shared folders, right-click the shared folder you want to delete, and select the "Delete" command in the pop-up menu.

If you feel that it is troublesome to operate in the registry, then we still have a way to attack with poison. Just create a folder with the same name as the shared folder to be deleted locally, then share the folder, so the system will prompt the sharing conflict window, click the "Yes" button to delete the share in the network neighborhood. The folder is gone.

In fact, sharing is the most common type of our web application. There are more errors in shared applications under XP. In fact, most of these errors are caused by unreasonable settings. Just find them. The source can naturally be solved easily.
