9 solutions for forgetting Windows XP login password (2)

Method 4 - Overwrite with other SAM files (provided you can get the SAM file of another computer and its password... Personally think it is the most feasible way)

1 - As above Say, the SAM file holds the login name and password, then we just need to replace the SAM file to replace the login name and password. However, the "home" hard disk partition format of this replacement SAM file is the same as your system (see FAT32 or NTFS, you confirm it yourself). It is best that this "origin" system does not have a password, the security settings have not been moved (actually a large part of the PC is like this), of course, the more insurance way is to put all of XP [Win NTSystem 32Config] The file is overwritten in the [C:Win NTSystem 32Config] directory (assuming your XP is installed in the default partition C:),

2 - if you don't get help from others (I mean "just in case") You can install an XP system on other partitions. The hard disk partition format should be the same as the original one, and please be careful not to install the same partition with the original XP! Before starting, be sure to back up the boot area MBR beforehand. There are many ways to back up MBR, using tool software, such as anti-virus software KV3000. After installing it, log in with Administrator. Now you have absolute write permission to the original XP. You can test the original SAM and get the original password with 10PHTCRACK. You can also overwrite all files under the newly installed XP Win NTSystem 32Config into the C:Win NTSystem 32Config directory (install the original XP installed here), and then use the KV3000 to restore the previously grievous main boot area MBR, now you can Log in to XP as an Administrator.

[No. 2 program I feel trouble, or No. 1: Call someone to help better...]

[In addition, it is said that the SAM in the C:windows epair directory is the original version. It can be used to overwrite this SAM under system32, so that you can delete the current password and restore it to the password when you first installed the system. If this password is empty, isn't it... 】

Method 5 - Use the Win 2000 installation CD to boot the repair system (premise... obviously? You have to have a Win 2000 installation CD)

Use the Win 2000 installation CD to start the computer. In the Wndows2000 installation selection interface, select Repair Windows 2000 (press R); then select Use Faulty Console Repair (press C), the system will scan the existing Window2000/XP version. . There is usually only one operating system, so only one login option is listed (l:C:\\Windows). Press l from the keyboard, then press Enter. At this time, Window XP does not require the administrator password to be entered. Instead, it logs directly into the Recovery Console mode (if you are using the Windows XP installation CD, it is required. Enter the administrator password. The administrator here refers to the system's built-in Administrators account.) Windows-familiar friends know that the Recovery Console can perform any system-level operations, such as copying, moving, and deleting files. Start, stop services, and even destructive operations such as formatting, repartitioning, and more.

Test Using CD: Windows 2000 Proessional Simplified Chinese version with integrated SP3.

Tested through the system: Windows XP Proessional, Windows XP with SPI patch (FAT32 and NTFS file systems are the same)

[Note that for various reasons, on the market Some Windows 2000 installation CDs do not display the faulty console login option, so this vulnerability cannot be exploited. At the same time, due to the limitations of the faulty console mode itself, this vulnerability cannot be exploited from the network. In other words, this vulnerability is limited to a single machine. ]

Method 6 - Use the NET command (there are two necessary prerequisites: the partition that installs WINDOWS XP must use the FAT 32 file system, there is no Chinese character in the user name.)

We know that the "net user" command is provided in Windows XP. This command can add and modify user account information in the following format:

net user [UserName [Password *] [options]] [/domain ]

net user [UserName {Password *} /add [options] [/domain]

net user [UserName [/delete] [/domain]]

The specific meaning of the parameters has been explained in detail in the Windows XP help, I will not elaborate on this. Ok, let's take the example of restoring the local user "zhangbq" password to explain the steps to solve the forgotten login password:

1. Restart the computer and press the F8 key immediately after the startup screen appears. Select " Safe mode with command line."

2. At the end of the running process, the system lists the system super user “administrator” and the local user “zhangbq” selection menu. Click “administrator” to enter the command line mode.

3, type the command: "net user zhangbq 123456 /add", forcibly change the password of the "zhangbq" user to "123456". If you want to add a new user here (for example, the username is abcdef and the password is 123456), type "net user abcdef 123456 /add". After adding, you can use the "net localgroup administrators abcdef /add" command to promote the user to the system. Manage the users of the group "administrators" and give them super privileges.

4, restart the computer, select the normal mode to run, you can use the changed password "123456" to log in to the "zhangbq" user. In addition, after zhangbq enters the login, go to [Console] → [User Account] → select the user who has forgotten the password, and then select [Remove Password] (wait for). Select the original user in the login screen to wait for the password. In (because it has been removed) Delete the newly added user, in [Console] → [User Account] → select [alanhkg888], then select [Remove Account]

[But someone Proposed: After the experiment, it is known that the user newly created under the safe mode command character cannot enter the normal mode (this conclusion is not confirmed yet)]
