Only two laps to speed up Windows XP startup speed

Now online XP startup acceleration articles are a lot of things, but not really useful, and some are misleading readers. I am also an XP user myself, and I am deeply touched by the startup acceleration of XP. I have seen countless optimization articles, installed XP times N times, and walked through many detours, but in the end I finally summed up the experience that can really optimize XP startup.

My computer configuration is not very good. It takes a long time to start after installing XP or 2003. The scroll bar has to be rotated more than 10 times. After optimization, the startup time is obviously accelerated, and the scroll bar only needs to turn more than one turn. I can't wait to open the system. Here's a detailed explanation of how to accelerate the startup effectively and efficiently.

First, open “system properties" (right click on my computer - properties, or open “ system & rdquo; shortcuts win+pause break in the control panel) point & ldquo; advanced & rdquo; Card, as shown in the figure:

In the "Startup and Recovery" area, open "Settings", as shown in the figure:

Remove the "System Startup" area √, if it is a multi-system user, “ & radiant; Click “Edit” to determine the additional attribute of the startup item is /fastdetect instead of nodetect, do not add the /noguiboot attribute first, because guiboot is used later.

The next step is very important. Open the “Hardware” tab in the “System Properties” dialog box to open the “Device Manager” and expand “IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller”. , as shown in the figure:

Double-click to open the "Secondary IDE channel" attribute, as shown in the figure:

Point “Advanced Settings” tab, change the transfer mode of devices 1 and 2 If the DMA is available, the device type can be selected as “none", it is selected as <;no", point to complete the setting, the same method is set to “ main IDE channel”.

Now that the startup acceleration has been completed, but since the acceleration is started, the shutdown is also accelerated.

Open the registry (Start-Run-regedit), click “My Computer"Open “Edit" menu"Find & rdquo;, as shown:

Enter AutoEndTasks, point “ find the next & rdquo;. Double-click to open the found result to modify the "value data" is 1, as shown in the figure:

Then under the AutoEndTasks you can find HungAppTimeout, WaitToKillAppTimeout, set the "value data" to 2000 or less, in Here, by the way, the menu delay time is also modified. Find the MenuShowDelay under the AutoEndTasks. The value is in milliseconds. If you want to remove the menu delay, set it to 0.

After the modification, click the "Edit" menu, open “ find the next " (shortcut F3), and modify the results found in the previous step. Use the above method to find the value of WaitToKillServiceTimeout is the same as HungAppTimeout.

Now that the acceleration of startup and shutdown has been completed, restart the computer and feel the feeling of speeding up. It is OK to scroll only one or two times.

After enjoying the speed of the quick restart, we will further accelerate the startup speed, open “system properties”- “advanced>-“startup and recovery”set, open“system Start the editing of the area, add /noguiboot to the end of fastdetect, so that the scroll bar will not be displayed at startup. If you really like the display of this scroll bar, you don't have to do this step.

Well, the startup and acceleration of XP and 2003 systems are completed. It is simple and easy to believe that users who use XP for the first time should also learn.
