1 second shutdown in Windows XP system

  

The bulky Windows XP operating system is slow to shut down, which takes about 30 to 50 seconds, but by changing the registry options as provided below, your Windows XP system will shut down very quickly.

Locate the HKEY-CURRENT-USER\\Control Panel\\Desktop key and change the WaitToKillAppTimeout to 1000, which means you only wait 1 second when you close the program.

Another: program error and the system automatically closes the program that stops responding how to achieve a fast shutdown.

1. Change the HungAppTimeout value to 200, which means that the program waits for 0.5 seconds when it fails.

2. Set the AutoEndTasks value to 1: to let the system automatically close the program that stops responding.
