Teach you how to quickly add network authentication to XP

The connection of the remote desktop provides us with greater convenience. Most of these are for work needs, so many users will not find out that the XP system originally did not have this function. Later, with the enhancement of the system, XP can now connect to the remote desktop, but now the connection sometimes needs to be authenticated. We have not paid attention to it. In fact, XP that adds this feature does not automatically activate NLA support, so we need to manually change the relevant content in the registry to add authentication to the registry.

The steps are as follows:

1. Run “regedit”Open the Registry Editor and go to  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Lsa”.

2. Double-click "Security Packages" in the right pane. This will open the "Edit Multi-String" dialog box and add the contents of “tspkg” in the list box. The content does not need to be changed.

3. Navigate to  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\ServiceProvider”.

4. Double-click the "SecurityProviders" dialog box on the right to open the "Edit String" dialog box, and add "ldds;. credssp.dll" in the value data box. Note that there is an English after the comma. Space.

5. After completing the above modifications, restart your computer. Open the remote desktop connection, now we can see the information in the "About" window that supports network level authentication”.

The above settings are not very interesting. Adding this feature authentication will help protect our network security and make the system environment more secure.
