Xp system convenient shutdown method

xp is a fairly stable system. Except for the slow speed of the switch, there are very few switch failures. Therefore, users are pursuing two major operations: boot acceleration and shutdown acceleration. In order to meet the needs of users, here we introduce another shutdown shortcut & mdash; standby and hibernation operations.

First, the shutdown acceleration one-click standby

Open “ control panel & rdquo; & rarr; & ldquo; & ldquo; power options & rdquo; select “ advanced & rdquo; tab, set here & ldquo; When the computer power button is pressed, the menu is pulled down, and it is checked to “hibernate>;“standby”. Once the settings are applied, you can use one-click standby. For example, before work, there is a work to be continued tomorrow. Just press the power button on the chassis and you can leave work. The next day, press the power button to quickly enter the system and continue the work that was not completed yesterday.

When recovering from standby, you may be sneaked into the data on your computer. In this regard, in the "Advanced" tab, check "When the computer resumes from standby, ask for the password" item, add a security protection for standby.

Second, create “Sleep” sleep button

First in the "Power Options" dialog box, "Hibernate" tab, select "Play sleep" Features. Then right click on the desktop, select “New”→“Shortcut" in the pop-up menu, and enter the “rundll32.exepowrprof.dll, SetSuspendState” command in the "Create Shortcut" dialog box. Click “Next” in the “Select Program Title” dialog box to enter “Hibernate”. “ After completing ”, right click on the “Hibernate” shortcut on the desktop, open the dialog box and select the “Shortcuts” tab, and press the shortcut key you like in the “Shortcuts” button. “F8”. Once set, simply press the “F8” key to achieve one-click sleep.

Third, reasonable setting of standby power

Many times, just leave the computer temporarily, then there is no need to turn off the power of most hardware devices, such as USB interface, network card, mouse and other equipment, This will improve the recovery speed.

Take the network card as an example, open “Device Manager", right click on the NIC project and select the “Properties" command in the pop-up menu to open the property settings dialog. Select the “Power Management” tab and uncheck the “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” option by clicking Apply. Use the same method to disable the power off function of devices such as USB and mouse.

Fourth, the standby state can also turn off the power

The normal standby method is not to turn off the power, because the data is stored in the memory, once shut down, it will cause data loss. To shut down, only sleep is used, but sleep starts longer. If you use the STR technology of the motherboard power supply, you can turn off the power while in standby, and it takes only a few seconds to restore the computer to work.

Most motherboards support STR technology. Take the Soyuz SY-I5PRLE motherboard as an example. After booting, go to the CMOS settings page and select “PowerManagementSetup” to set the power management settings. After entering, find the "ACPISuspendType” item, set it to “S3(STR)” mode, save the CMOS settings. When the standby is used in the future, the power of the chassis will be automatically turned off. When the power button of the chassis is pressed, the system can be restored to the saved state during standby at high speed.

When using STR technology for standby, do not cut off the power supply of the motherboard, otherwise the saved data will be lost. In addition, to wake up the system through the mouse and keyboard in the standby state, you can set it in CMOS, and set "PS/SKB/MSWakeupFromS3-S5" to "Allow".

V. Solving the problem of standby automatic recovery

When the system is in standby, it will automatically resume from the standby state from time to time, and automatically enter the standby state. Most of this problem is caused by improper power settings of the network card. To do this, expand the “Network Adapter” in the “Device Manager”, double-click the NIC item to open the Properties window, in the “Power Management” tab, cancel “Allow this device to take the computer out of standby. Check the status & rdquo;

Sixth, speed up for sleep standby

When using hibernation and standby, pay attention to some matters. For example, if the system uses hibernation for a long time, the data in the memory will not be cleared, which will make Windows XP run slower. At this time, you can use the memory tools such as “Freemem” to sort out.

If you save a working file before hibernation, temporary files and data are released, which greatly increases the speed of hibernation and recovery, and enhances data security during recovery. In addition, appropriately increase the system disk space capacity, open the DMA channel of the disk, and dial external devices such as USB before hibernation and standby, which can effectively improve the speed and stability of sleep and standby.

xp is not a perfect system, because its boot speed is not perfect, because its shutdown speed is not perfect. In order to strive for a perfect system, users can perform related optimization operations. The introduction can bring some help to the user.
