The meaning of the path variable:

%systemDrive%

refers to the disk directory where your system is located, such as C:

%windir%, %windows%, %SystemRoot%

indicates the directory where windows is located and the system root directory. In the case of xp, it means C:windows, in 2000 it means C:WinNt %Temp%

The directory where the system temporary folder is located. %windir%temp

%userprofile%

refers to the current user's profile directory. For example, C:Documents and Settings

%ProgramFiles%

refers to the Program Files program installation directory. For example, C:Program Files

%System%

refers to the directory where the system is located. Under XP, C:windowssystem32,2000 refers to C:winntsystem32
