The network function of Win7 system has been further enhanced than XP, and it is relatively clear to use. However, due to a lot of surface optimization work, the underlying network settings become very unsuitable for people who are used to XP systems. Among them, LAN grouping is a big problem. By default, after installing the system, not only the Win7
systems in the same group cannot share access to each other, but the most troublesome problem is that the XP system computers in the group are more difficult to access each other. In response to this problem, some information collected from the network, combined with their own situation in the debugging process, through the following steps can basically solve the problem of XP and Win7 LAN sharing settings. A: Necessary point
1, need to be an administrator account
2, all computers connected to the network must be in the same IP segment, such as 192.168.1.X (2≤ X≤ 255 )
3, all computers connected to the network must be in the same working group, such as in the WORKGROUP group
4, all computers connected to the network must open the guest account, the default account name is: guest.
5, close any third-party firewall software, or make some related settings (very important). Windows comes with a firewall. If you don't turn it off, you need to make some settings. Open Windows Firewall---Exceptions---Check File and Printer Sharing---OK---Save. In the XP system, in the General tab, remove the check mark in front of the exception.
6, the operating system of all computers connected to the network must have the correct permissions settings (this is the focus)
7, XP, refers to the Windows XP Professional version. Some of the methods described above do not apply to Windows XP Home Edition.
8, Win7, refers to Windows 7. Different versions of Win7 may have some differences. If you are using the Home Basic version, don't look down because Home Basic does not provide file sharing. .
2: Services that must be turned on
