WinXP: Encrypting Folders with Recycle Bin

  

We know that the folder encryption feature is built into Windows XP, but do you know that you can also encrypt folders with the recycle bin?

First, open “My Computer"; click the “View” button in the toolbar, select the "Folder Options" and select "Show" in the pop-up dialog box. All files & rdquo;, cancel <; hide protected operating system files (recommended) & rdquo;. Then click “OK”.

Next, enter the system root directory (C:\\), right click on "Recycle Bin", (named "Recycled" folder), select it in the pop-up shortcut menu dialog box “Enable thumbnail view mode”, then click “Apply”, the cocktail will find that the system automatically selects the “read-only” attribute, you need to manually remove the “read-only” attribute and click “&ldquo” ;OK”. At this time, you will find that the icon becomes a normal folder. Then double-click the “Recycled” folder to find an initialization file named “desktop.ini” and activate it. Copy it to the encryption you need. Under the file, such as the "F:\\Test” folder below.

Finally, right-click on the “F:\\Test” folder, select Properties, make sure the “read-only” property is selected in the pop-up dialog box, and then enable thumbnail view mode in “ ” Check the box before the checkbox, then OK.
