Tips for hiding a drive letter to make it unreachable

Enter "gpedit.msc" in "Start → Run", open Group Policy, and then open "Local Computer Policy → User Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Windows Resources Manager option. In the settings window on the right, select "Prevent access to the drive from 'My Computer'" item, right click on this option, select "Properties", then pop up "Protect access to the properties of the drive from 'My Computer'" settings Window, there are three options in the window, namely "not configured", "enabled", "disabled". Select "Enabled" and a drop-down list of selected drives will appear below. If you want to limit the use of a drive, just select the drive. For example, we want to limit the use of the C drive, check "Only limit drive C." If you want to turn off all drives, including CD-ROM drives, you can check "Restrict all drives". After the setting is completed, when the drive is turned on again, a prompt box for prohibiting the drive from being opened will pop up. Even if you use the DIR command, the Run dialog box, and the Mirror Network Drive dialog box, you will not be able to view the drive's directory.
