How to use hard disk partitions larger than 32GB in Windows XP

Experienced users know that Windows XP cannot use FAT32 hard disk partitions larger than 32GB. But by exploring, I found a way to change this situation. Up to now, I have used a 60GB FAT32 hard disk partition on a computer with Windows XP for more than four months, and found no abnormalities. The following steps are implemented:

1. Make a clean (no virus) Windows 98 boot disk.

2, from Windows 98 boot disk and run the Fdisk.

3, partition the drive, as the size may be any value as long as the line is not greater than 137GB.

4, with a Windows 98 boot disk to restart the computer.

5, format the hard disk partition.

6, use the Windows XP CD to boot the system.

7, begin installing Windows XP.

8, when the installer will ask you which system is installed in a hard disk partition, select the partition you just formatted. After the installer will give you some options for NTFS, don't bother, choose the last one: install Windows XP on the current hard drive partition without any changes. Next, Windows XP will start the installation normally, so you will install Windows XP on a full-featured hard disk partition larger than 32GB.
