Extremely convenient! WinXP installation CD integration SP2

This article uses SP2 English version as a demonstration, please modify it according to the language version of your operating system.

In this article you will learn how to convert your original Windows XP CD to the latest version of Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).

What are the benefits of doing so?

When you reinstall Windows XP on your machine, your system will automatically upgrade to Service Pack 2 (SP2), eliminating the need for "Windows Update" and reinstalling Service Pack 2. .

You can also add some of your own things like Microsoft Powertoys for Windows XP to this CD. I believe that you will install a lot of your own tools after installing a brand new Windows. Now you can put them all on this CD.

First, add the content required for this CD

Before we start you need to prepare the following things:

The version of your language < U>Windows XP Service Pack 2
(SP2)

Windows XP startup file
(boot area for writing to CD)

I am in this wizard The latest version of Nero Burning Rom

at least 1.5GB of hard disk space (reserved for XP CD and SP2 files)

Let's get started< BR>
Go to the CD drive (with Windows XP) and copy all the files to a folder on your hard drive. This is easy. (shown below) I used F:CD.

Then go to the root directory to determine the file WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe there (example), then enter the following command:

F:WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2 -ENU.exe -s:F:CD

Please confirm the correct drive letter, depending on where you put the files yourself.

In this example I copied the entire contents of the Windows XP CD to F:CD, and the files for Windows XP Service Pack 2 are placed on the F: disk. To ensure correctness, check the location of the file again.

After clicking Confirm, you will see that the file is being integrated, as shown in the following figure:

Later you will see the following prompt: The integration process has ended .

The Service Pack 2 files are now in your CD folder.

You may notice that this folder is no longer the same as the original CD, because the files in the service package have been added to the root directory. You may want to add some extra files now, and I added Norton Anti-virus 2003 and all Windows XP Powertoys to the "SUPPORT" folder. You can attach some small, critical software every time you install Windows. Please note that these additional files should not be too large to exceed the size of the disc (should be kept at 650/700mb, depending on The type of disc selected). The way to check the size of this folder is to right-click on the CD folder and select Properties from the pop-up menu. You will see the size of the folder. If your file exceeds 650mb or 700mb, Nero will also warn you that the file size is too large.
