Make Windows XP multi-system boot menu different

Friends who use multiple operating systems know that a boot menu will appear when the computer starts up, with the prompt text "Please select the operating system to start" and display "To troubleshoot and understand Windows advanced startup options, please press F8" at the bottom of the screen. "and many more. Do you want to change this content to your favorite?

First, find the ntldr file in the root directory of the C drive in the "Explorer". Note that the file is a system file with hidden and read-only properties, so we have to click "Tools" and "Folder Options" in advance. View "Show all files or folders" and remove the checkmark in front of "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)", then click the "OK" button to see the file. Next copy the file to the D drive and rename it to ntl.

Then, restart the computer to Windows 98/Me in your multi-system, download the hex file and the disk editing software WinHex. After the download is complete, run WinHex, click the "Open" button on the toolbar, find the ntl file under the D drive in the "Open" dialog box that appears, click the "Open" button to open the file, and then click "Search" "Find Text" under the menu, in the "Find Text" window, the "The following text characters will be searched (S):" field: enter the operating system to be started (Figure 1)

Click the "OK" button, you will find this string of text (Figure 2), not far from the bottom of the line can see the text that will appear in other boot menu, you can modify They can be saved for what you need. Note that the number of characters must be the same, for example, "Please select the operating system to start" is 11 Chinese characters, you must also be 11 Chinese characters (22 English letters), otherwise it is easy to make mistakes. Restart the system, is the Windows boot menu more personalized?
