Windows area and language impact on the system

These days, the "impulse" MM has been complaining about a lot of computer problems: the traditional Chinese games are always garbled; the installation and running of some trial software is always an error, saying that the trial time has passed.

I ran to the MM's computer and saw that the MM did not change the system default language in "Regional and Language" to "Chinese Traditional" when playing Chinese Traditional Games; The MM classmate in the date and time option actually set the system time in 2013, which is really ahead.上述 After saving the two options, the above problems are solved.

"The time and language settings of Winodws are so important?" MM whispered. Haha, don't underestimate these two options. In Windows, it's important to look at the time and find out where to go.

Regions and Languages

In Windows XP, regional and language options are a very important component that enhances the ability of Windows systems to be used in multiple locales. In the first tab "Regional Options", we can see "Standards and Formats". The drop-down menus below have different countries and languages. Choosing a language in a different region changes how dates, currencies, numbers, and times are displayed.

Of course, you can also click on the "Custom Options" (see figure) next to the four options for currency, date, number and time to modify according to your own ideas. For example, I want to display the time as "It is 8:30 now, don't be late for work." In the "Time" tab, delete the contents of the "Time Format" box, and then change the contents of "'now 'HH' point 'mm' minutes 'tt", and enter "Working in the AM and PM input boxes" be late". Make sure to quit and see if the bottom right corner has changed.

The Advanced tab is the most important part of the overall Regional and Language option. The "language of non-Unicode programs" here is applied when running traditional Chinese games and Japanese games.
It is well known that the Windows XP kernel is Unicode encoded. But the game program is hardly Unicode encoding. This way we can specify a non-Unicode encoded game program with a specific encoding in the Advanced tab. Take the question of MM as an example. The default non-Unicode program for Windows XP is the Simplified Chinese GB2312. Open "Control Panel → Regional and Language Options → Advanced → Non-Unicode Program Language" and select "Chinese (Hong Kong Special Administrative Region)" from the drop-down menu to run the Traditional Chinese version of the game program correctly. There is no need to install the internal code conversion program like Windows98.
Date and time
Here are some of the settings for system time and time zone. In the "Time and Date" tab you can drag the right clock, minute hand and hour hand to change the current time, or you can modify it directly in the time input box below the clock. On the left you can adjust the year, month and current number.
The second tab "Time Zone" mainly adjusts the time zone of the system. Of course, we choose Beijing time. However, MM recently wanted to watch the Olympics and wanted to know the time in Athens. Ok, find "Athens, Istanbul, Minsk" in the drop-down menu. Once you are sure, you can know what time Athens is now.
If your computer is already connected to the Internet, it is recommended that you check "Automatically synchronize with Internet time server" in "Internet time", so that the system will automatically check the current time from the Internet, without having to bother to adjust.
In fact, there are still many places worth exploring in "Time" and "Location" in Windows. Let's go and see.
