template file is stored in the Windows\\Application Data\\Microsoft\\Templates directory by default. Open this folder and back up all files with the suffix dot.

1. Back up application configuration data, etc.

General applications will create their own configuration information files in the Windows installation directory. The extensions of these files are ini, such as MP3 player software. We just use the resource manager to open the installation directory of the current operating system, right click in the window, select the "Arrange icons → by type" item, let all the configuration files with the suffix name ini be arranged together, and then select the desired Configuration files, copy them to other directories.

* Remove Windows 98

First enter Windows 2000 or Windows XP, then right click on "My Computer" and select "Properties → Advanced, click the “Settings” button in “Startup and Recovery” and change the startup time to “0”. In this way, you will enter Windows 2000 or Windows XP directly at startup without the selection menu appearing. Finally, delete Windows 9x Windows, Program Files directory and boot files (including io.sys, msDOS.sys, command.com, autoexec.bat and config.sys).

If you want to delete Windows 2000 or Windows XP, first delete the directory where Windows 2000 or Windows XP is located in Windows 9x environment, then use a Windows Start the 9x boot disk (as determined by the operating system), enter "SYS C:" after "A:", and re-deliver the system to the C drive where Windows 9x is located.
