Windows XP system skills 3 cases

The computer can always encounter many problems that make people laugh and cry. Microsoft's official general operation on solving software problems is to "restart the machine" ^_^, which shows that many problems are unclear lawsuits. Although careful looking can find a more reasonable explanation, get a more feasible solution. But we will waste a lot of time. Apply some skills appropriately, we don't need to know too much knowledge to solve the problem. And save a lot of time.

Example 1. The "Show Desktop" of the Quick Launch Bar is missing.

I accidentally dragged it a bit when I clicked "Show Desktop" in the Quick Launch bar. So it ran to the desktop. Then I accidentally deleted it. Without this stuff, it can be a headache for me. Where can I get it back? When you look at the Internet, there is a way to edit the file that displays the desktop with Notepad, and then change the suffix... It’s too much trouble. suddenly think of. I can't find another one, so I copied it on my friend's machine. (If you are inconvenient to copy files from someone else's machine, you can create a new user, find the corresponding file in that user, copy a copy. Then you can delete that user) and put it into the quick-start folder. C (system disk): \\Documents and Settings (user name) \\ Application Data \\ Microsoft \\ Internet Explorer \\ Quick Launch (How do I remember to live this long path? You click on the properties of other icons that are quickly launched, view the path to get )).

Experience: Many times software or system problems are caused by the loss or damage of a file. At this time, you only need to replace it with a complete and correct file.

Example 2. The Messenger process loads without cause.

The mood was very good that day, I suddenly wanted to use the instant messenger software windows messenger. After starting the software, I was prompted to upgrade, so I upgraded. After the upgrade is over, it will be used for a while. However, since then, in the resource manager, there is an additional msmsgs.exe process for no reason, and it takes up 8m of memory. Use some software to find out that this process is the process of windows messenger. However, I did not run this software, and I also chose the option to "Start with Windows" and "Allow background running" in the software settings. How can there be this process? The process no longer appears after manually turning off the process. But after the reboot it came again.

Unfortunately, I thought of uninstalling windows messenger. Uninstalling Windows messenger requires some skill. What changed the comma of msmsgs.inf...but after the uninstallation is completed, it restarts, still as old.

Under the air. Find the Windows messenger directory. Show hidden files (Microsoft does not know what is in the heart, actually left the files that are uninstalled, still hidden), see msmsgs. Deleted. Restart, the problem is solved.

Experience: The program is not sure what is wrong, it is difficult to find the reason. But where can you clean up where you can go wrong. For example, this time msmsgs is loaded for no reason, I deleted it to solve the problem. A "strong man's broken bowl" like this is also a viable method.

Example 3. Unable to delete a file

FTP to download a file, the second half will be canceled. However, when I delete the file that has not been downloaded, the system prompts me that the file has no exit and does not let me delete it. After reviewing it, there is no process management. Estimated to be Explorer error, there are many reasons for this error. The usual practice is to delete it after restarting (sometimes restart can not be deleted, this requires DOS)

I didn't want to restart. So open the task manager and end the explorer process. The desktop and taskbar are gone. Click on the new task in the Task Manager, then select "Browse" in the Select File dialog box, then find the file you want to delete in the new dialog. Right click and select Delete. This time it was very easy to delete. Then find the explorer file in the C (system disk): Windows folder. Checked. On the desktop, the taskbar is back.

Experience: Many programs will make a small mistake. And these small mistakes have affected our operations. (In addition, the process such as rundll32.exe will make the system unable to uninstall the u disk). We can stop this faulty process. After completing the operation we want, we can reply to this process.
