How to uninstall Windows XP

Phenomenon: My original operating system was Windows 98. I recently heard that Windows XP is very good and installed the system. The first installation was installed from Windows 98. After installing it, it didn't feel very good. After formatting the Windows XP partition, it was reinstalled from DOS to D drive. After installation, I found that there are three multi-boot menus (first install). Windows XP is still there, how can I delete the extra one? In addition, if I want to delete Windows XP, in addition to formatting the D drive, how can I completely delete it?

The boot menu of the Windows 98 and Windows XP dual system is controlled by a file in the root directory of the C drive. You can change the boot menu by modifying the file. To delete redundant Windows XP projects, you can open the boot.ini file in the root directory of the C drive, which has two lines of duplicates "multi(0)…”, delete one of them. In order to completely remove Windows XP, in addition to formatting its partition, you must also delete the multi-boot menu and redundant system files as follows:

(1) Make a Windows 98 boot disk, Copy the sys.com file under Windows 98 into the system disk.

(2) Start with the boot disk and execute the sys C: command under A:>.

(3) Delete the extra files in the root directory of the C drive. These files include: boot.ini, bootfont.bin, bootsect.dos, ntdetect.com, pagefile.sys, and so on.
