Linux becomes the cloud operating system

Computer store news: The role of the operating system has always been two: let software and developers can consume and utilize the latest hardware, and provide a stable environment for the application software.

In the future, the operating system will continue to move along these two roads to inject momentum into the cloud. Take Linux as an example. Linux is developed and served on the Internet. Currently, 8 applications are supported by Linux for every 10 cloud-based applications. This is because it is portable, secure, scalable and reliable, yet open and standards-based.

The cloud needs choice and flexibility. We believe that it is for this reason that Linux is still the future cloud operating system, and we expect Red Hat Enterprise Linux to play a key role in the future. Red Hat Enterprise's Linux enables applications to accommodate computing, storage and networking resources across a wide range of virtualization solutions and cloud services from a wide range of vendors, with up to 10 years of stability in their lifecycle.

This operating system has been the foundation of traditional IT for decades and plays a leading role in innovation. I think it will continue to play this role in 2013 and in the future. As systems move to the cloud, this operating system will continue to provide a critical foundation.
