How to backup and restore DNS configuration

  

Backup:

1. Stop DNS service

2, open regedit, find HKLMsystemcurrentcontrolsetservicesdns

3, export DNS branch . Named DNS-1

4, find HKLMsoftwaremicrosoftwindowsNTcurrentversionDNSserver

5, export the DNSserver branch, name it DNS-2

6, open windowssystem32DNS, and put all of them*. The dns file is copied and saved with DNS-1.reg and DNS-2.reg.

Back up the above content.

Restore:

1. When the DNS server in the area fails, re-establish a win2003 server and set the same DNS suffix and the same name as the DNS server to be replaced. IP address.

2. Install and start the DNS service in the new system.

3. Copy the *.dns file backed up from the previous file to the windowssystem32dns folder of the new system.

4. Disable the DNS service.

5. Import the backup dns-1.reg and dns-2.reg into the registry.

6. Restart the DNS service.
