Computer Technology: "Account" (Account) of Serv-U User Attributes

One, Account (account) option. As shown below:

Second description and application examples

1, Disable account: If you select it, this account will not be able to use.

2, User name (user name): shown here can change the user's login name; after modification, left panel user name will automatically make the appropriate changes.

3, Group (s) (group): If there is a group, you can select more groups by selecting groups. The attributes of the directories in these groups are determined by the time the group is created, and the user cannot modify it in “Dir Access”! If the group user's home directory is not in the directory tree contained in the root directory (see item 5 below), then this group of users cannot enter.

4.Password: This item is <;<<Encrypted>>” (encryption) indicates that there is a password, which is confidential, so the content is not displayed. If it is blank, no password is required; if you enter any password, it will display “<<Encrypted>>”.

5, Home directory: In principle, this is the root directory after the user logs in; but in fact, when the user logs in, its root directory is still to see "General" ; (usually) in the attribute "Lock user in home directory" (to lock the user in its home directory) to decide.

(1) For example, if the path is "“d:\\myweb”," and the corresponding item in the General” is selected, the home directory and the root directory are both "d:\\myweb".

(2) If the path here is "ld:\\myweb", and the corresponding item in General” is unchecked, the home directory is "ld:\\myweb”, and the root directory is " ;d:\\”.

(3) Note: This can be modified according to the situation, but can not exceed the range of the disk in the "Dir Access"; otherwise you will not see anything after logging in!

(4) It is recommended not to modify this item!

6, Notes (Note): This item is used to mark some descriptive text.
