Windows Media Player cannot find a solution for the specified module

Phenomenon:

Open Windows Media Player 10 and play a file, but it says "Cannot find the specified module".

I am running Windows Media Player 6 and I am prompted to find the file "quartz.dll", so restoring the file "quartz.dll" will solve this problem.

Solution:

1. Copy the file "quartz.dll" to the %windir%\\system32 folder. This file is packaged in the "I386\\quartz.dl_" file on the Windows XP installation disk and can be opened directly with WinRAR. The download address of this file below the article.

2, run "regsvr32 quartz.dll"
(quartz.dll DirectShow is associated libraries, is part of DirectX.)

Of course, after you run Windows Media Player 6, Tips If no other files are found, then the file being prompted is restored.

Supplement:

1. This problem is not a problem with Windows Media Player itself!

2. There are still a small number of users who can't solve the problem by using the above method. You can try to reinstall DirectX or Directshow decoder, or upgrade to the new version. (This method I have not tested)
