Delete (modify) folder with FTP

Recently, there have been user reactions. When using FTP to delete (modify) the folder name, it is often unsuccessful for the following reasons:

As with windows, as long as any file is in use in the folder, The name of the folder cannot be deleted (modified).

For example, if you want to delete the BBS directory, when anyone accesses any files in your BBS directory, your operation will not succeed, even if you close the forum, because you actually close the forum. After that, the user is still reading the files in your forum.
The solution is as follows:
First delete all the files in the bbs directory (including the files in the subdirectory), if the deletion does not mean that the file is being accessed, you can try several times, then delete the empty directory. Finally delete the BBS directory.
As for the modification, you need to download the original BBS directory to the local, and then upload it as a new name, and finally delete the original BBS directory according to the above method.

If you are a night owl, you can delete the changes directly at least when you are at night. Generally, you can.

Please also do not upload files such as .pif.lnk and other shortcuts. FTP will automatically hide these files, which may result in unsuccessful deletion of files.
