users who often deal with the hosts file will know, the hosts file can be modified in the xp system with Notepad and then saved, but in the win7 system, the hosts file can be paralyzed, directly I can't save it with Notepad, so the win7 system is really awkward. It turns out that this is related to the system's permissions.
Methods/Steps
Step 1. Open the “Start” menu, click “All Programs, and find “Notepad” in "Accessories".
Step 2. Right click on “Notepad”, select “Run as administrator”.
Step 3. At this time, a new Notepad window pops up, click on the “Files” menu, select “Open” & rdquo;.
Step 4. In the "Open” dialog box, select the folder to “C:WindowsSystem32driversetc” from the drop-down menu.
Step 5. Click the File Format drop-down list in the lower right corner and select “All Files”.
Step 6. At this point, you can see the hosts file. Double-click it to open the file for modification. After the modification is completed, it can be saved.
Note: Be sure to run the Notepad program as an administrator, otherwise it will not be saved.
The hosts file is a file on the computer that is used to correlate the URLs and IPs that you access. In many cases, users will modify this file. If you are also a win7 system, you should pay more attention to it. The operation described above will not make you caught off guard.
