How does Win7 create, create, delete or format hard disk partitions

Steps to use:
Create and format a new partition
To create a partition or volume on your hard disk (the two terms are usually used interchangeably), you must be logged in as an administrator and there must be unallocated on the hard disk. There must be free space in the disk space or in the extended partition on the hard disk. If you do not have unallocated disk space, you can create some space by shrinking an existing partition, deleting a partition, or using a third-party partitioner.
Right-click on Computer Point Management (if you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation).

In the left pane, under "Storage", click “Disk Management”.

If it is part of the Lenovo brand machine, you can delete the D drive and do the right click on the unallocated area on the hard disk, then click “New Simple Volume”.

In the “New Simple Volume Wizard", click “Next”.

Type the size (MB) of the volume you want to create or accept the maximum default size, then click “Next”.
