Personalized command prompt under Windows 7

  

The command prompts you usually see are the same as "C:\\>” or "C:\\DocumentsandSettings\\username>”", which is dead. Let us now reinvent the command line prompt to make it full of new ideas and personalities.

Step 1: Open the “Notepad” program in the win7 system, enter the following, and name this file run.cmd, and then save it to the Windows directory of the system disk.


Step 2: Enter the Registry Editor, expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\CommandProcessor item, find the key-value item named “AutoRun” in the right window and double-click It then changes its value data to “%systemroot%\ un.cmd” in the pop-up window, as shown in Figure 1.


Step 3: Close the Registry Editor and go to the command prompt to see the effect, as shown in Figure 2.
