Win7 system default program installation location modification method

Normally, if the user does not modify, the default installation location of the system installation software program is on the system disk, but too much software is installed on the system disk. It will only increase the burden on the system disk and slow down the running speed of the system. In order to avoid this situation, the user can customize the default program installation location and also have more space in the system.

Operation steps:

1. Execute start — run — open — regedit command

2. Open the registry editor, and then expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE— SOFTWARE— Microsoft&mdash ;Windows—CurrentVersion branch

3. Find the ProgramFilesDir value on the right side of the Registry Editor and modify its default key value. Here we can arbitrarily modify the location we want to install the default program, and then modify the value data.

In three simple steps, the user can modify the default program installation location by himself. On the one hand, the user can find the location of the software installation, and on the other hand, the system disk load can be reduced. This is the best of both worlds.
