Recently, a large number of user feedback in Windows Vista system often pops up Windows prompts that the disk can not be found, many users suspect that it is related to drug tyrants. As shown:

No Disk

Today Papa got a test report from a colleague and found out the cause of the problem.

Where Papa guesses the following items as the cause of this phenomenon:

[Enabled] \\\\{C3544774-EE21-4782-A50D-EA252D537D76}

C:\\ Windows\\system32\\pcalua.exe -a I:\\Universal Wubi\\uninst.exe -d I:\\Universal Wubi

It is true that colleagues and users verify that this is the case, delete the scheduled task. A similar approach has solved the problem of multiple users.

Interpretation of the problem

Many software, including Microsoft, use Windows's scheduled tasks to perform tasks that require timed operations, such as Windows Defender, Norton, Mcafee, Apple, Sogou. Wait. And Windows Vista itself has a lot of built-in planning tasks. After some software uninstallation or files are deleted directly, the scheduled tasks are not cleaned up, which will cause the Windows prompts we see today to have no floppy disks. Windows actually prompts that the files on the disk defined in the scheduled task cannot be found, and the related operations cannot be performed.

This problem is not necessarily related to Kingsoft Internet Security and any anti-virus software. For example, the user that Papa got from the detection log is also installed by Kaspersky.

Verification Method

Click the Windows Start button - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Task Scheduler. As shown:

Click on "Scheduled Task Library" to find a non-Microsoft scheduled task. The picture shows the scheduled task of Sogou input method. In fact, the program no longer exists.

At this point we can delete the non-Microsoft created scheduled tasks through the Windows Task Schedule Manager. As shown:

< Br>

Then expand the task plan library to view scheduled tasks created by non-Microsoft. I found Apple's scheduled tasks and the files were deleted before they were deleted. As shown:

< Br>

Note: Since the Vista system itself will create many scheduled tasks, it is best not to move the Microsoft-created scheduled tasks without confirming that the system files are missing or other failures. Prioritize processing and process tasks that are not created by Microsoft.

Delete the principle of scheduling tasks under Vista

1. This program is not used often or is no longer used.

2. The file pointed to by the scheduled task no longer exists, especially the file under the non-system drive letter.

3. If the three-party program does not find an abnormal scheduled task, check whether the document that comes with Microsoft has a file that does not exist or has insufficient permissions.

Tips for Confirming the File Existence

1. Modify the taskbar and desktop menu properties to have a run button. As shown:

< Br>

2. Click the Windows Start button - Run, or press the windows key + R key on the keyboard to bring up the Run dialog. Enter cmd to confirm.

3. In the cmd, enclose the path with the "" sign, enter or paste dir /a "full path of the program" to the command prompt.

Note: It is recommended to enter quotation marks in the English input method state to ensure that the input is in the half angle state.

Explanation: The advantage of this operation is to avoid the Windows search may take a long time to wait, as the example in the screenshot above we can clearly distinguish that the file does not exist.

Summary

There are many reasons why Windows may not find a disk. However, after checking with several users, it is found that the problem is solved after the scheduled task is disposed. Related issues are not necessarily related to drug tyrants. It is recommended to be cautious about the deletion of Windows scheduled tasks, especially the scheduled tasks created by anti-virus software.
