Windows 7 automatic upgrade helps the system to improve security, keep the system updated in real time, and install the latest patch is one of the means to prevent viruses. However, after the Windows 7 system starts automatic update, it will always remind you to restart the computer after installing the update. It will be annoying for a long time, especially when you have more work at hand. How can I turn off this prompt? We need to set it up in the local group policy.

1. Click "Start" in the system interface, and enter gpedit.msc in the search box - start local group policy.

2. On the left side of Local Group Policy, expand Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components. Scroll your mouse to Windows Update.

3. Double-click the "For the logged in user, the scheduled automatic update installation does not perform the restart" option, set in the properties window, the default is "not configured", select "Started" below .

Click OK to exit the Local Group Policy Editor. When Windows installs the update again, the annoying reboot prompt will never appear again.
