Windows 7 Starter Edition or Cancel Run Program Limits

According to foreign media reports, US technology blogger Paul Thurrott recently wrote that Microsoft decided to lift the limitation that Windows 7 Starter can only run up to three applications at the same time.

Windows 7 Starter Edition or Cancel Run Program Restrictions

According to Microsoft’s Windows 7 release plan announced in February this year, the operating system will be divided into Starter (Starter Edition) 6 versions of Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate.

However, unlike other Windows 7 versions, Windows 7 Starter Edition is limited in functionality. It can only run up to 3 applications, does not provide local network connectivity, and displays the highest resolution. It will also be restricted.

Before, when the XP and Vista operating systems were released, Microsoft also introduced an entry version, but PCs pre-loaded with the operating system were only sold to emerging markets. However, PCs pre-installed with Windows 7 Starter Edition, including netbooks, will be sold worldwide.

Industry believes that if Paul Turot's news is true, Microsoft has begun to pay attention to the outside world's recommendations for Windows 7 entry-level version, and these entry-level restrictions after lifting the ban, may pull the pre-installed Windows 7 Starter Edition Netbook sales.
