Win10 Mobile enables full access to file systems

Compared to previous generation Windows Phones, Win10 Mobile is a more complete operating system. This is not difficult to understand, because Win10 Mobile uses the same kernel and API as Win10 PC, Xbox One, and IoT Win10, and is very similar in encoding. Logically, this means that you can go inside the operating system and browse its file structure.

Now, the foreign XDA Developer Forum has released a detailed method for full access to the Win10 Mobile file system. This tutorial was released by snickler, but it is not suitable for the public, but for developers or users with high programming experience. It is not very useful for ordinary users, only to increase the chance of system crash.

Snickler wrote in the post:

This tutorial uses a built-in SSH server, which is automatically activated whenever your device has "Device Discovery" turned on. It is possible to achieve full access to the file system. MTP does not really provide full file system access, because there are still some files or folders that are currently inaccessible.

To gain access, users need to use the Astoria tool/WConnect, the root tool provided by developer djamol, PuttyGen, Pagent, and an SFTP tool.

Snickler also lists some limitations of this method in the tutorial. Although there are still limitations, this has opened the door for hackers to crack Win10 Mobile. At present, it is possible to replace some system files and add new files. Hackers have been keen to crack Android and iOS systems, and now Win10 Mobile will also attract their attention.

Remarks: The last thing to remind is that these methods are not suitable for ordinary players. If you don't understand the tools listed in the article, please don't try them.
