Win10 10525 preview can not be activated official solution

Yesterday, Gabe Aul responded to a user’s question on Twitter. The user asked if the newly installed key could also be used on the official Windows 10 build, and the answer he got was "Can't". If an Insider wants to reinstall a new build from scratch (or a clean install), it must already have Windows 10 build 10240 installed and it is already activated on its device.

@vicerory101 No, after this build will not be able to use the previous activation key, nor will it contain a new key. You can activate this build on a computer that has installed and activated build 10240.

This is part of the latest “No Keys” installation plan provided by Windows 10. If you already have a legal and active copy of Windows 10 on your device, you will no longer need to enter the 25-digit product key to get a clean installation. Once it is connected to the Internet, the machine is automatically activated.

Build 10525 is the first official Windows 10 system to be pushed to insiders. Some of you may choose to upgrade your official version to this build, others may choose to install dual systems on the same device, or clean install again. These methods are all without problems.

But for new iniders who want to install build 10525 on a virtual machine, this build cannot be activated unless they have a valid legal license on the virtual machine. The same is true for those who install systems with illegal licenses on another computer. However, if you are already an insider user before the official version, and have updated the old build to 10525 version, just like this user did, upgrade from build 10073 in the virtual machine to build 10525, then this The build will remain active.

Insiders who are unable to activate the official build will have to install a licensed version of Windows 7 or 8.1, upgrade to Windows 10, and then upgrade to 10525 in the virtual machine, or Install two copies of Windows 10 that have been activated in the device to test the second wave of system updates after that. The above is all our current assessment of this issue.
