Let XP have an old-fashioned Windows face (1)

You start a brand new XP with confidence, only to find that everything has changed: Where did the icon for the Quick Launch toolbar go? Why doesn't Windows automatically restore my original open folder when it starts? How to close the left column of the folder window? Microsoft made these changes to make it easier for novices. For experienced users, the interface changed to cause trouble. But don't worry, you can turn back the clock and give XP an old-fashioned Windows-like interface.

Canceling Taskbar Grouping

If you open multiple folders, applications, and browser windows at the same time, Windows classifies the windows, each of which occupies a button on the taskbar. Clicking on the taskbar button opens a list of such windows, as shown in Figure 1. In other words, sometimes you have to click twice to open the target window. Many people like to open the target window with a single click. You can modify it as follows: right-click on the blank position of the taskbar, select "Properties", and cancel the "Group similar taskbar button" under "Task appearance". Option.
