Cleverly install old sound card in Win XP

My computer is equipped with dual system (Win98+WinXP). First install YAMAHA 719 for Win98 driver under Win98, it can be used normally. Then search for the YAMAHA 719 for WinXP driver, you can find it on the Internet for a long time, not to mention the driver under Win XP can not find, even the driver under Win2000 has not been found. Is Yamaha 719 really not available under Win XP? Really unwilling, I had to switch to Win98 research.

Select "Sound, Video and Game Controller" in Win98 "Device Manager" to expand it and see "yamaha pnp Audio system Codec, yamaha pnp Audio system control Registewrs, yamaha pnp Audio system" Joystick, yamaha pnp Audio system mpu-401 Compatible" (pictured), I recorded these items to see if I can "pretend" under WinXP.

Restart the computer and enter WinXP. When the system starts, the system will pop up a prompt box to find the new hardware MPU. Follow the wizard prompts and select "Install from the list or specified location (Advanced) → Do not search, I have to choose the driver to install", click "Next", select "Sound, Video and Game Controller" in the hardware type, click "Next", select "Crystal Semiconductor" in the manufacturer options "At this time, you will find "Crystal WDM MPU-401 Compatible", is it a bit like "Yamaha PnP Audio System MPU-401 Compatible", and several other similarities with Win98, so select it, click "Next", then a warning will be issued, regardless of it. Click "Yes" and follow the prompts to install until "Complete". Then pop up "Found New Hardware", select the manufacturer item, select "Crystal WDM Audio Control Registers", and then pop up to find the new hardware Game, also select "Crystal WDM GAME port". Finally, the prompt pops up to find WSS/SB. Here, select "Crystal WDM Audio Codec". After the installation is complete, you don't need to restart, open "Control Panel→Sound and Audio Devices", set it accordingly, the small speaker in the taskbar will come out, then Open Winamp to play an MP3 song, try to sound out in the speaker!

How, if you have such an old sound card in your hand, you may wish to try this method first, maybe it will succeed.
