Upgrade Win10 can be reversed! Users can drop back to previous versions within 30 days

If you downloaded and installed Windows 10 on July 29th, however, after you try to start regretting your choice, what should I do?

Don't worry, Microsoft will give users a 30-day grace period. Once the user decides to abandon Windows 10, they can revert to the previous version of Windows.

In the Windows Insider program, Microsoft provides the "rollback" feature through the Windows 10 Technology Preview.

In the recently launched Build 10240, the operating system clearly stated that users can select “downgrade" in one month. This version is widely considered to be the final version available to PC vendors.

In the previous technology preview, users clicked on the new start menu, navigated to the "Settings" screen, select "Update & Security", and then click on the left. “Recovery” in the navigation panel, you can see the “downgrade” option, including “Reset this PC”, “Restore the previous version of Windows”, and “Restore the previous version” and “Advanced Startup” ; (Advanced startup).

Selecting the second option will return the system to its pre-Windows 10 state. Choosing to reset the PC will result in a clean Windows 10 being installed on the machine.

Of course, users can revert to their previous versions by using the various system recovery methods provided by PC vendors, even after more than 30 days.

Windows 10 will be available worldwide on July 29th. This operating system includes many new features, including the digital assistant Cortana (Chinese name Microsoft Xiaona) inspired by Halo, a new start menu experience (combined with the Windows 7 start menu and Windows 8 dynamic tile), New Edge browser, multi-tasking virtual desktop and snap-in capabilities, optimized for hybrids and variants, and a new desktop background.

Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 users will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free and receive free updates during the product lifecycle.

For other users, the Windows 10 Home Edition is priced at $119 (approximately RMB 739) and the Professional Edition is priced at $199 (approximately RMB 1,235).

Microsoft will offer Windows 10 in batches, and the company promises that those participating in the beta program will receive the new operating system in the first place.
