Microsoft updates the "Outlook Mail and Calendar" app, fixes email display issues, etc.

Computer Store News: Microsoft has fixed a long-standing problem in the Windows 10 Mobile version of the Outlook email and calendar application. Our preliminary tests found that HTML emails can now be displayed correctly on the phone.

The build version of Mail and Calendar is 17.6769.40522, and the update is now pushed to some Windows 10 Mobile phones. The last update was x.40332, which was launched a few weeks ago. However, we are currently only seeing updates on the Lumia 950 for the Production Channel version of Windows 10 Mobile Build. Oddly enough, on other Lumia 650s with the Production Channel version installed, the mail and calendar versions are Build 17.6568.46332, and the Lumia 950 XL (Redstone Update) is 17.769.40322. Both phones did not receive email update details. Last December we reported a format issue with the Windows 10 Mobile mail app. The image is either displayed in the wrong size or in the wrong position, and the email is beyond the edge of the screen. A new update in February of this year seems to fix Outlook HTML email rendering issues. But the e-mail "zoom in" problem is still there, when the first time the user is asked to "pinch" mail to fit the display. For us, today's update fixes at least the magnification problem. In the picture above you can see the comparison before and after the update, obviously the right side is better and easier to read. In addition, this update also brings performance improvements, opening applications and opening emails are fast. All in all, the Outlook email and calendar app feels more stable and improved a lot.
