Microsoft Store Removes Windows RT 8.1 Upgrade

Computer Store News: 17th, 19th, Microsoft officially started the Windows 8.1/RT 8.1 push for Windows 8 and Windows RT. Two days later, Microsoft temporarily removed the Windows RT 8.1 update from the Windows Store app store because some RT users encountered a situation.

Microsoft announced in the support forum that it is investigating issues affecting some users updating Windows RT devices to Windows RT 8.1 systems. At present, Microsoft has temporarily stopped the push of Windows RT 8.1 from the Windows Store. But Microsoft did not specify the problem.

Some Windows RT users claim that the startup data is corrupted when updating RT 8.1, causing the device to be unusable and can only be repaired by recovery media or sent to the factory for recovery. It is currently unknown when Microsoft will resume Windows RT 8.1 push.
