Disable help tips in Windows 8.1

  

Computer shop news: Since Windows 8 changed the windows interface from Windows 8, joined the metro interface, causing windows users not used to. In the new version of Windows 8.1 for the convenience of users, Microsoft has added help tips to tell users how to operate. However, for users who are used to Windows 8, these tips are no longer necessary, so you need to disable these help tips.


Disabling help tips in Windows 8.1:

  • Using win+R to open a run window
  • Enter regedit in the Run window Then press
  • In the registry window, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows
  • Right-click on the found Windows and select New
  • Name the new value EdgeUI
  • Right-click on the EdgeUI and select New 32-Bit Byte Value
  • Name it DisableHelpSticker
  • Double-click to open the key value and change the value from 0 to 1
  • Restart the computer

    After the reboot is complete, you will no longer see the help prompt.
