Windows 8 will never be as bad as Vista

Computer store news: Since the launch of Windows 8, the operating system has really been criticized. However, even though Windows 8 is called "Big Bomb" like Vista, Win8 will never be as bad as Vista. What is the reason? Let's take a look at one of the most basic reasons: Windows 8 may gain a bigger market share than Vista. According to data provided by Net Applications, Vista's largest market share was in 2009, but only 17.73%. And after the introduction of Windows 7, the system quickly eclipsed Vista.

Windows 8 may start slowly, but it will eventually have a chance to go beyond Vista's highest point. According to the latest data from Net Applications, Windows' market share in August was 3.82%, up from 3.17% in March. In January of this year, its market share was 2.26%. Although the growth is not large, it has increased by more than 1.5% in three months. If you count the tablet, Windows' market share in August was 3.84%. There may also be an opportunity for Windows that Net Applications underestimates the market share of Windows tablets. According to the latest data from Strategy Analytics, Windows Tablet PCs have a market share of 7.5% and shipments of 3 million units in the first quarter of this year, which shows that Windows 8 is gaining a foothold in the tablet market. Considering the tablet, and given that Windows 8 sales are slowly accelerating, it is not unreasonable to expect Windows 8 to get 10% to 12% per year, or more market share. This will mean that at some point next year, Windows 8's market share may exceed the highest market share of Windows Vista. Another major reason why Windows 8 will ultimately not be considered as bad as Vista is that even if the system is a no-name operating system, it will at least try something new, such as merging mobile and desktop. It may also help users to embrace a new era in which touch will become part of everyday computer life. All of this does not mean that the author suddenly became a fan of Windows 8. I still think that it is a mistake to build a single operating system for tablets and traditional computers, but Windows 8 is indeed better than Vista. The next version of Windows may solve many problems of Windows 8, just like Windows 7. That was what Vista did that year.
