Report says Surface usage is still ranked first in Win8 devices

Microsoft Surface RT is still the most popular Windows 8/RT device
Sina Technology News Beijing time on December 12 morning news, Windows advertising services company AdDuplex latest data shows that Microsoft Surface RT is still the most popular Windows 8/RT equipment, although its lead has not been as obvious as it was a month ago, its share has shrunk by half.
This data was collected by AdDuplex on December 7th through 71 active Windows 8/RT apps on its advertising network. This data does not reflect the overall usage of Windows 8/RT and can only generally reflect the relative share between different devices. Therefore, if the overall usage of Windows 8/RT increases substantially, even if the share of the Surface decreases, its specific usage may still increase. At the same time, the use of other devices is growing.
AdDuplex said that the leading edge of the Surface is not as obvious as last month, and the lead has been reduced by 5 to 6 percentage points from last month. Surface's overall usage of Windows 8/RT devices last month accounted for 11%, much higher than 4% of HP notebooks. However, HP equipment has now fallen behind in size, and the HP 2000 series notebook ranked second in the December report with a 3% share.
From the manufacturer's point of view, HP ranked first, with a share of 22%, followed by Dell and Acer. Microsoft slipped from the second to the sixth in the previous month.
Since Microsoft has not released data, there is still some controversy about the shipment of Surface. Market research firm iSuppli said last week that Surface's sales in the fourth quarter are expected to exceed 1 million units.
If this data is true, the product is starting to start because it starts at $499, which is much higher than the $199 for the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire. The Nexus 7, which went on sale in June this year, sold about 500,000 units in the first month, and currently sells nearly 1 million units a month.
With the launch of Surface Pro with Windows 8 Pro in January, the overall sales of Surface will continue to increase.
