Some software cannot be installed when installing the computer software

When a friend installs some software, it always starts to install for a while and then the prompt "Installer starts the installation engine failed: this interface is not supported". This problem still occurs after reinstalling the system.

Some software installations require "Windows Installer" support. The general solution is to click the "Control Panel" command in the "Start" menu and double-click "Administrative Tools" in the "Control Panel" window that opens. Icon, double-click the "Services" icon in the open window, find the "Windows installer" service in the pop-up "Services" dialog box, double-click the service item, and change the startup type in the "Wi11dows installer Properties" dialog box that opens. To "Manual", then click the "Start" button.

This service should be stopped after the program is installed. If you still have problems, try downloading the latest Windows installer version from the Microsoft site.

If the problem persists, you can check it out as follows.

Step 1: Whether you have administrator privileges.

Step 2: The installation file is single-threaded. View the running process in the Process Manager. If there is "ikernel.exe", it means that it can't be installed now, end the process, and then install it.

Step 3: Delete the "c:\\Program Files\\CormrronFiles\\InstallShield\\Engine" folder and re-install the installer.
