Troubleshoot computer system problems

Many users will encounter computer failures, and such problems are often caused by many reasons. Not necessarily a hardware problem, not even a problem with the computer itself.

A variety of reasons, such as the external environment, software anomalies, and conflicts between accessories, can also cause computer malfunctions. Dealing with computer failures often has to be considered in many ways.

First, the software causes "soft faults"

The computer is a special product that requires the combination of software and hardware to be used normally. The computer that does not install the software is only "bare metal". Almost no use. The impact of software on the normal use of the computer is very large. According to incomplete statistics, for most users, more than 80% of the faults in the daily use of the computer are caused by the software cause "soft fault".

The culprit of "soft fault" is a computer virus. Soon after the birth of the computer, the computer virus "should come into being"; and as the network became more popular, the virus spread more rapidly, often interfering with and ruining the normal work of the computer. A typical example is the “shock wave” virus that caused serious damage to the global computer some time ago. The attack will cause the system to start frequently, and the computer will not work properly. For virus-induced failures, we can use the new version of anti-virus software to kill.

Important system file corruption can also cause the system to not work properly. For example, KERNEL32.DLL, font files, etc. The basic files necessary for system operation are destroyed, and the system will not work properly. For such failures, if you can't get into the normal desktop, you can only solve it by overwriting or reinstalling the operating system.

The application software has quality problems or is incompatible with the operating system and can cause system failure. For example, some programs may cause the system to fail to shut down properly after running. In this case, we can run “Msconfig” to check if there are programs that are not familiar to them in the startup items and block them.

Second, the external environment caused by the failure

The normal use of the computer requires certain external environmental conditions, and the external environment will cause the computer to malfunction. The first is the use of electricity, the computer as a precision electronic equipment is very sensitive to the quality of power supply, such as the unstable power supply voltage, frequent power outages, etc., not only can the computer not be used properly, and even damage the hard disk and other accessories. The normal working voltage of a home computer is 170V-240V. When the mains voltage exceeds this range, the computer will automatically restart or shut down. For areas with frequent power supply instability, we can purchase online UPS, parameter regulator or wide-amplitude switching power supply to ensure a good enough power supply environment for the computer to work stably.

There is another factor that can't be ignored in the power environment. The quality of the plug or power socket is poor. Many power strips are of poor quality. The internal contacts are hand soldered and acid solder is often used. This causes problems such as open circuit and leakage due to oxidation of the solder joint during use. Poor contact of the computer power plug will result in a large contact resistance. When working for a long time, it will generate a lot of heat and cause a virtual connection, which will also cause frequent restarts of the host.

Electromagnetic interference is also an important cause of computer failure. Many tine computers crash and restart because of electromagnetic interference. Devices such as high-voltage lines, transformers, inverter air conditioners, and arc welding have large electromagnetic interference. . If the host's anti-interference ability is poor, there will be unexpected restart or frequent crashes. At the same time, strong magnetic field interference can also cause magnetization of the CRT display and cause color cast failure.

The ambient temperature and humidity environment is also very important. Too high or too low will cause problems in the computer. Even the environment is too dusty and can easily cause the computer to malfunction.
