First, preparation: 1. Prepare the Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Simplified Chinese Standard Edition installation CD. 2. If possible, use the ScanDisk to scan all hard disks before running the installer to check for hard disk errors and fix them. Otherwise, it will be troublesome if the hard disk error is detected during the installation. 3. Record the product key (installation serial number) of the installation file with paper. 4. If you have not installed Windows 2003 system and are using XP/2000 system, it is recommended to use driver backup tool (such as driver wizard) to back up all drivers under WindowsXP/2000 to hard disk (eg: Frive) ). Backup Windows XP/2000 system drivers can be used under Windows 2003. 5. If you want to format the C drive or D drive during the installation process (it is recommended to format the partition used to install the 2003 system during the installation process), please backup the useful data of the C drive or D drive. 6. Export the email account and address book; copy the "Favorites" directory in “CocumentsandSettingsAdministrator (or your username)  to other disks to back up your favorites; if possible, other applications The settings are exported. 7. System Requirements ---- For x86-based computers: It is recommended to use one or more processors with a frequency of at least 550MHz (the lowest supported frequency is 133MHz). Each computer supports up to 8 processors. It is recommended to use the Intel Pentium/Celeron series, AMD K6/Athlon/Duron series or compatible processors. It is recommended to use a minimum of 128MB of RAM and a maximum of 32GB. For Itanium-based computers: Use one or more processors with a clock speed of at least 733MHz. Each computer supports up to 8 processors. The minimum RAM is 1GB and the maximum is 64GB. Hard disk free space, which is about 1.25GB to 2GB on x86-based computers. On Itanium-based computers, the space is about 3GB to 4GB. If you run the installer over a network instead of a CD-ROM, Or perform an upgrade from a FAT or FAT32 partition (recommended to use NTFS file system), then you will need more disk space. Second, start the system with the CD: (If you already know the method, please go to the next step), restart the system and set the CD-ROM drive to the first boot disk, save the settings and restart. Put the 2003 installation CD into the CD-ROM drive and restart your computer. When starting up, press the Enter key when the following picture 1 appears, otherwise the 2003 system installation cannot be started.


Third, after installing Windows Server 2003 CD, you can see the installation interface if there is no accident.


Reading the boot information from the CD will appear as shown below.

Use the “down or up” arrow keys to select the partition used to install the system. I am going to install 2003 with the C drive and prepare to format C in the following process. plate. After selecting the partition, press “Enter” to enter, the installer will check the space of the C drive and the existing operating system of the C drive.


The above figure indicates that the installer has detected that an operating system exists on the C drive and issues a warning message. If you choose to install the system the partition is empty. Here I insist on using the C drive to install the system. According to the prompt, press the “C” button on the keyboard and the following picture will appear.


There are five options for operating on the selected partition at the bottom of the image, where the option to "Save existing filesystems (no changes)" does not include formatted partitions. Operation, others will have the operation of formatting the partition. Here, I use the “Upward& arrow; arrow keys to select <; format the disk partition with the NTFS file system”.


A warning to format the C drive appears after the carriage return.
