How to start the remote desktop function of Windows Vista

  

In Windows Vista, the Remote Desktop feature is turned off in the default installation, so if you need to operate Windows Vista from another PC at work, you need to change the settings to open the Remote Desktop feature.

The corresponding settings are not complicated. You can open the management by right-clicking “Control Panel” => “System & Maintenance" => “System" or right click on the desktop & computer"computer” icon In the interface, select “Remote Settings> in the task list on the right, the corresponding setting page will pop up:



If it is from another station Clients running Windows Vista can remotely connect to the system, using the option to allow only computers running remote desktops with network-level authentication to be connected, which provides greater security; if you want to run from Windows 2000/XP clients can only use the computer that allows any version of remote desktop to connect to the system if it is connected to the system. Of course, this poses certain risks.

Note that to enable remote desktops, you must ensure that the computer does not go to sleep when it is idle, otherwise the remote connection will fail. After the setting is completed, you can further set the user to allow remote connection —— non-administrator group, any user in the administrator group will automatically have remote connection permission.

As for the firewall, you don't have to make any settings manually. Windows Vista will automatically add the rules to the firewall after enabling Remote Desktop.
