Installing Vista on a hard partition in a clean partition

For those who don't want to waste a DVD for dialing and want to install Vista or Windows 7 in a clean partition, try the following:

1. Download and install the virtual drive, recommend Daemon Tools, Winmount

2. Load Vista or Windows 7 ISO image file with virtual drive

3. Open the loaded Vista or Windows 7 folder and copy all files to the non-system disk. For example, if you want to install Vista or Windows 7 to C, copy it to D:\\Windows 7 or E:\\Windows 7. Let's take E:\\Windows 7 as an example.

4. Copy the bootmgr and boot folders in the virtual drive to the system disk path, usually C:\\

Note: For Vista users, you may need to do the following: Br>

*Copy the bootmgr folder to C:\\

*Copy E:\\Windows7\\boot\\boot.sdi to the C:\\boot folder

*Copy E: \\Windows7\\boot\\bootsect.exe to C:\\drive

5. Unhide the folder. Create a new folder in the C:\ oot folder named sources

6. Copy E:\\Windows7\\sources\\boot.win to C:\ oot\\sources

7. Right click Command Prompt - Run as administrator:

8. Enter:

C:\\boot\\bootsect.exe /nt60 C:

Vista User Input:

C:\\bootsect.exe /nt60 C:

There will be a success message.

9. Rename the C drive to BDCP or any name that is easy to remember.

10.Restart

11. At this point, the system will automatically install Windows. Choose language, time and area, keyboard, etc.

12. At this point, the system will pop up the Windows installation interface, do not click the "Install Windows" button. Click the "Repair your computer" button.

13. In the Windows recovery environment, click on the command prompt to enter DOS.

14. Run the following command:

format c: /q

If the partition is in Fat32 format, type c: /q /fs:ntfs to convert to NTFS format. .

Before the formatting starts, the system may ask for the partition label. Enter the easy-to-remember name above, for example: BDCP.

15. After the format is completed, run E:\\Windows7\\sources\\setup.exe

16. Continue to complete the installation.
