Full WinDisk 6000 RTM Method

The English version of Windows Vista RTM that was circulated on this network cannot be installed in the virtual disk of the hard disk. However, people who have no DVD burner like me have suffered.

Finally, I saw someone successfully installed from the hard disk in the Vision Forum. This is roughly the case: you need to enter the WinPE 2.0 environment, and then run the installer.

Specific steps:

1. Load Win PE 2.0 with a virtual CD-ROM drive, copy all to the root directory of C, run CMD, enter the drive letter of the virtual CD-ROM drive, and enter bootsect /nt60 c:< Br>

2. Use the virtual drive to load the downloaded vista6000 image, copy all the files inside to the hard disk, such as D:VISTA

3. Restart the computer, you will see the computer directly boot into WINPE. After entering, a command line window will appear, enter in the window:

C:
BOOTSECT /NT52 C:

Then delete the following files in the C drive (some files may be hidden) , run attrib -r -h -s before deleting

del bootsect.exe
del bootmgr
del boot
del efi
del sources

4. Go to the folder where you copied vista6000, such as D:VISTA, enter setup to run the vista installer, and then it will be the same as the CD boot installation.

Note that you must perform the third step after entering WINPE. Otherwise, you may not be able to update the startup configuration file when installing to the last one.

After the installation, the original XP system can enter normally. There is a dual boot menu, I wish you all success!
